File a Complaint
In New Brunswick, you have the right to safe, ethical, quality health care from your Occupational Therapist. Complaints about an Occupational Therapist may come from members of the public or members of the Association regarding the conduct or actions of any member of the Association.
NBAOT is required under An Act Respecting the New Brunswick Association of Occupational Therapists to investigate all complaints submitted. Complaints need to be in writing and cannot be anonymous. The complaint should include the following information:
- Your name and contact information (address, phone number, email)
- Name and workplace of the Occupational Therapist
- Information about the relevant concern regarding the member
- Detailed information about the nature, time and place of the conduct or actions concerning the member about whom the complaint is made
